Pigs are omnivorous animals and truly eat “anything and everything”
So if you have pigs at home you can serve them with leftovers of meals, food scraps or even simple grass and pigs will be able to happily digest and eat that.
The farm pigs i.e. which are bread on commercial basis for meat are fed special made balanced diet which helps them to gain weight and grow quickly, however that food is also made mostly from by-products of the food industry
The wild pigs also mostly survive on plant roots, grass and fruits and love to devour crops of potato’s, sugarcane and sweet potatoes
Pigs use their nose (snout) to search and look for food
