What do Camels Eat ?

Camel is known as the ship of the desert but this does not mean that camels have to eat all the deserted kind of things

Camels are herbivorous animals and can eat a variety of things depending on the availability.

In deserts, where the food is in short supply camels can eat almost anything growing there, they can live upon leaves, plant roots, dried thorns etc. The skin in their mouth is very strong and they are able to eat most thorny plants without hurting their mouth. In wild camels spend around 9-10 hours daily in grazing

Domesticated camels and those living in zoos are usually fed hay and dry grasses
